Teck did not walk away from CCY (LaVerde). They were very kind to CCY and indicated they would elect in if CCY wanted them to AND/OR CCY was allowed to have 180 days to find a better deal. Actually it was quite unbelievable how accomodating Teck was. They were sending a signal to their junior partners that they understand the venture is in the crapper and money is hard to raise. Teck is not out to screw their valued junior partners and this was evident in the CCY deal!
