...management doesn't care about it as it gives them cheap shares for PP's and private purchases, and they all know eventaully they are going to get a good selling price when the time comes.
I sincerely hope that isn't the case, definately not a morally responsible approach to running a public company. This type of thing is what gives the Venture a black eye.

Exactly, insider information is almost always leaked to the rich, and they get righer. How do the shorters know when to short? I wouldn't be suprised if for the same reason.
They don't 'smell the deal', lets call a spade a spade - its criminal.
Us retail investors sure have to work under a handicap, eh? If only we could have a level playing field free of HFT and market manipulation...
