This Smithers meeting is very likely a public stakeholder meeting put on as part of the EA process. There would be no real reason to put on a shareholder/corporate show there as there isn't a large population there. Smithers and Terrace are the larger population centers in that part of the province and a good deal of the labour and supplies would be provided from these places. That said, I would have thought that Shane Uren would go either with Elmer or buy himself.

The time format isn't that unusual since folks there don't want to be brainwashed but rather heard. I think that is the point of the long Q&A period and this part of the EA stakeholder engagement process.
