I concur. Elmer has nothing to hide, if he is not comfortable with anything Liddy asks, or if he doesn't want to be recorded, all he has to do is say so. She's not trying to interrogate a murder suspect, but rather just looking to get some answers.

Granted, many of us don't expect to hear straight answers, but worst case scenario is that Elmer says no to the recording, and then no comment to all the questions.
