i see that point too... but would only work if Teck were to sell liard down the road. Its better if Teck holds on to it right now as they will make a return on on those shares if they put a value on CUU at 2 billion and since they own those shares and dont have to buy them back they aren't subject to taxes since they had them all this time. This tax stuff gets pretty intense so i will just stick to what my account will look like at the end of this story.
