I have come to the conclusion that there isn't going to be my estimated $4.19 buyout. I think Teck is going to pay CUU to "go away" and they will have a bunch of cash to develop their AZ property and pay their shareholders some kind of per share bonus. The problem is, it's going to be nowhere near the price we have all expected and for me, holding for Arizona is not only out of the question, but probably the dumbest move I could ever make.
That's the troubling part. How much is to "go away"?
Teck - EE/ES we want the entire SC. This is X price so go away.
EE/ES - Wait now...so you want 100%? well lets start with this...SC is potentially worth X has proven X amount of stuff. Lets go with ownership then. If you take 75%, TECK has to spend $400 million on SC based on our back in option agreement.
So math is $400 million + our 25% interest of free riding + operating ownership. Maybe we don't want to go away and maybe we want to sell this interest to some other big miner out there?
Very hard to just lowball CUU at when the market is doing so poorly and just give them money to go away. We are very fortunate to have EE that keeps us afloat.
