FYI, there was a very interesting documentary on CBC tonight...Doc Zone; all about gold. It touches on the manipulation of the gold and silver markets, bank scandals, algorithmic/high frequency trading, where the western gold actually 'is', etc. Eric Sprott was featured and also McGuire (HFT whistleblower to CFTC) You can probably catch it online at CBC.ca
