Teck has a first right of refusal should CUU want to sell its "interest" in JV. As I read it, CUU shareholders can sell their shares and Teck cannot stop it nor does it have first right of refusal. Teck will be stuck with whoever buys CUU shares. Perhaps if somene calls in, they can confirm this. It makes sense, Teck would have to compete with an opposing share offer. I like what happened today, we are poised to be bought out now. Congrats to Elmer and team for getting us the guts of the 2002 agreement...and $23 million in the bank. We lost 75% of the claims we owned that were not in the "area of interest" but picked up 25% of Teck's claims plus extra point or so in Laird.
