It seems he is the only one that gets to go and play in Arizona with a pocket full of cash....
That is one thing at least that is better in the deal we got rather than the deal we were expecting (for those of us who were expecting a JV only.)
In the old deal Teck would have said they were backing in for 75% and then started to earn their share by spending all that money. We would have had no cash still and Elmer would have been forced to continue with the PP's and the dilution until the project was sold, or the mine started kicking out money. That would have taken years.
I like that we have a clean break from the PP's that should last up until the time that we get the EA permits, and Teck makes their decision to move forward. I'm assuming that they will still issue themselves options annually, but maybe we can put some pressure on to minimize those. For example, what is Shane's role now? Isn't he redundant because Teck is taking over the EA?
