They really can't emphasize enough how badly BC needs to approve another mine. Schaft Creek is the perfect project for the government to swiftly approve so they can say we are open for business.

I wish we could get better feedback from Teck about their schedule for submitting the EA. All I could get from our office is that they anticipate Teck will be plowing forwards as quickly as possible because they want to get it done. This is reassuring but not really coming from Teck directly. Perhaps a better meeting to attend would be the one with Teck and try and ask a question about this. Personally I wouldn't put much of my own time into going to the CUU AGM because it will likely only answer questions about what has happened already--I need to know what is coming.
