Thats true but I wonder if they are held to that rule for a wholesale buyout. The CPP Investment Board recently announced they were in on a deal to buy Nieman Marcus for 6 billion. Of course they are a revenue producer.

But if this mine goes ahead it would be an investment firms dream to know they are going to have income for decades to come.

Teck would probably prefer another mining company. But then they should probably move a little faster.
