I agree with CanadaGrant who believes Copper Fox and Teck may have already agreed to Ernesto's buyout price but contingent on the above NPV and risk improvements.
I can't agree that they've already negotiated a price. They couldn't have material information like that and keep it private--it would violate all sorts of securities rules. Plus, I don't think the value can be established without knowing vital information about that 171Mt waste for example. They wouldn't really say, "if this is inferred then we'll give you $X."
I was thinking about it this morning. There never will be a buyout really, I wouldn't think. We're selling our interest in Schaft Creek only, not the whole package with the Arizona claims. Eventually someone will pay us whatever for our 25% of Schaft Creek, plus our separate Liard shares, and we'll get another dividend, but we will continue to keep Copper Fox or Desert Fox shares and carry on with AZ and/or whatever other acquisitions are made.
