I believe once you own 10% of outstanding shares, you will have to file on how much stock you own.

so 10% of shares is 40 million? You what save $1.50? That's only $60 million savings if you're looking at a $2 buyout at $800 million.

I highly doubt Teck will make such a move as you will lose trust to a lot of other junior partnerships.
