There was some debate as to whether the ore from Galore Creek even COULD be processed at Schaft Creek because of metalurgical differences. IDK, that's way outside of my sphere of knowledge. But imagine if Schaft Creek could process Galore's ore... You would think that Teck would greatly prefer one MEGA mine in the calm Schaft Crteek valley instead of operating two separate mines so close together. ...................................................................................................................................................... I am pretty certain that the cost to transport the ore to a mill at Schaft Creek would be too high to be economical.
