I think the positive note to glean from this story is that Teck backed "in" not out like Rio Tinto did with Pebble Mine. We have a commitment of $60-million going forward, well cashed up and financed going forward - something few juniors can claim.
Rio Tinto's story seems to be a reflection of the greater commodities market as a whole. Perhaps they're happy where they're at in terms of current production and don't feel the need to develop further right now. Teck on the other hand has talked about plans to greatly increase copper production in the next few years. That would seem to suggest that they have a different vision, and our project is one of only a few I think they'd consider bringing to production to get them where they want to be.
