"Dear Mr. Stewart,
as an investor in CUU I have a question regarding connecting SC property to NTL. I'm wondering if it's possible that Teck (as an SC operator) lose option for power line connection from NTL to SC in they don't act fast enough (if they don't have an EA or haven't made their decision yet to go forward with SC). If that can happen that would be catastrophic.
Mr. Stewart, thank you in advance for your time and answer."
Answer:
"Thank you for the question. The available power in that part of BC is NTL at 287 Kv and Run of River at 190Kv = 477Kv. Schaft Creek is the most advanced project in this part of BC next to Red Chris.
It would be very unlikely that power would not be available for Schaft Creek. The EA would be determined by the scope of the project. At this time the Joint Venture are looking to optimize the project which includes a review on the daily throughput. IN the feasibility study (based on data to 2012), Copper Fox used 130,000 tpd mill throughput. This may not be the optimal daily throughput as more information from Schaft Creek was obtained in 2013.
Hope this helps answer your question
Regards
Elmer"
