MacCormick has started an annual list of mining companies that have the best Corporate Social Responsibility.
Now, they theorize that a high CSR equates to more success. Hmmm....not sure about that but Copper Fox did well on the list.
Out of the top 20 Socially Responsible TSX-V listed junior companies, Copper Fox Metals placed sixth. Ta da!
They also placed in the top three is some category referred to as, Standard Framework.
It may not mean much to us but the industry likes this sort of thing.
Here's a little article on the list, in which Copper Fox is highlighted as the only company that had a policy of local sourcing: http://maccormickimc.com/wp-content/uploads/9_First-Nations-Mag_Jan-2014.pdf
In fact, success in managing CSR has become a marker for identifying companies with superior management teams and, not surprisingly, delivering superior returns.
