is due to be completed and powered up by May 31st. the Forrest Kerr power project is due to come on line in July. these two projects have cost just under 1.5 billion dollars. I can't believe they plan to just sit there hoping someone will start to use their electricity.
Valard, the company that built the transmission line has a large workforce in place, with all their equipment, and is talking to prospective mines and companys searching for new business.
If ever there was a time for Teck to make a move to build the road and the power line it's now. Valard is capable of constructing both and I'm sure they could negitiate a better deal with a company that's ready to go than someone that had to organize all the people and equipment into the area.
It seems obvious permitting the road could be done in a flash, considering the province and BC hydro will want a revenue stream to start as quickly as possible.
It makes so much sense it probably will turn out to be another one of my dissipointing daydreams......ah well......chunky
