I.e. in 2017 there would be another prov election that could make obtaining the EA more difficult. However; if an EA had been granted earlier before a change in govt then the EA could not be reversed by the new govt.....

Firstly thanks to hkahka and big buck for providing feedback from the AGM.

Secondly, as much as there would be concern about the next BC provincial election in 2017 (though it might take a miracle for the NDP to mount a real serious threat); the primary concern is the pending Federal election - the ruling Tories are much more friendly to resource developement and they are being challenged to lead again. Teck knows this and would want to ensure they have the current Tories approval; and which is why I believe you'll see them work towards approval within the year > jmho.
