Looking at this I wonder of Northern Fox Copper is just a re-name of Dersert Fox Copper (Canadian).

When they bought the Carmax shares they bought them using a new numbered company. I assume they just named the numbered company for ease of communication. They are isolating their interests in everything so any one of them could form their own JV or produce revenue or, more importantly, be sold.
