What is also important to note is that the main issue for the Polley mine tailing pond was that water input, due to high precititation rates, was greater than the outflow. The company had a huge water management issue that they did not fix, thus the breach.

SC mine site is in the rain/snow shadow thus low precitiptation rates and the tailings are not as acidic due to the geology of the area. So I am thinking that the SC mine will be less of a risk.
