CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
I took it to mean if Teck said no mine, the Laird partners would band together and force them to. There is nothing in the JV contract about the Laird partners being able to force Teck to build a mine or any other requirement for them to proceed.
But...Teck owned 78% of the Liard voting shares at the time of the JV, and now they own 75% of that 78%, so I don't think anyone else on the Liard board would be able to force anything on Teck.
