Folks,
The below post does a great job of explaining the Teck-Copper Fox business relationship and I actually agree with this viewpoint:

Good discussions over there even though some there clearly suffer from a term known as "emotional bias"!
In connection to the BFS- Yes, it is a selling document that will promote the project's worth so a revised study would immensely benefit shareholders and better our chances at achieving maximum value for our shares from a market perception, and I expressed this to Elmer many times!
The 2012 BFS based off current factors has a 1 billion+ NPV at 8% discount rate with the Canadian dollar at .90 cents. When you factor in:
waste removal costs (operating cost negatively affected) and waste rock conversion to M&I + half the M&I resource minerals outside the Pit Shell not included in the economic study implemented into the new study + metal prices in the future when this mine is in production + improved metal recoveries we know is possible + the longer mine life and TPD production increase + the additional minerals not discovered yet, still open at depth and strike-
The revised NPV in my opinion is over 3 billion+, then add the eventual EA permits approval you are looking at over 7 billion+ with the 5% discount rate ROV. This will be a very profitable mine and one of the best mining projects in the world in the near future.
The main reasons we need a revised study IMO:
1) It is a selling document and offers better leverage in discussions with majors/buyers
2) The investing public (investors, shareholders that do not understand the economic impact from the above developments) needs to visually see the new NPV value. Seeing is believing when is comes to facts and the existence of something (religion a good example? Or investor psychology)
3) The BFS numbers are connected to the intrinsic value of this company based off market capitalization and monetary value.
4) Physical proof is warranted to showcase the mine's new economic value through an updated study (this is based off the last 2 years Teck has spent improving the project via technical drilling, pit stability improvements and Optimization studies- all activities in which will significantly improve the mine's economics).
These are all just my logical and rational thoughts based off facts and the interpretation of my thinking, just a rounded reflection on current developments.
