"However, Galore Creek has an environmental permit for the road from Highway 37 across to their property. At least I think it still has the permit. We would still need something to go up Mess Creek, but getting the road started from Highway 37 would be a good start".
It's my understanding, Prospect, that the road has been roughed in from the highway to the point where we'd cut up Mess Creek to access our property. it was at that point that the Galore partners stopped and reevaluated the project. I believe the road building equipment sat by the hwy for some time afterward. It was also stated in the past, that CUU had the right to use the Galore road up to that point.
Building the Shaft Creek road requires an environmental permit that is separate from the permit for the mine. there was an application started by Shane although, I have no idea of it's current status. the road building will take approx. 15 months to complete and involves two minor and one major bridge.
Many times I have posted, in the past, that the road could be started long before they have the permit for the mine, provided they were absolutely confident of getting it. It would also represent, IMO, a decision to go to production and we would get another 20 mil....chunky
