What I saw was a massive very promotable amount of copper/gold held in a Hunter Dickinson run company...HD was very good at promotion. And it was cheap, when I bought March '03 it was .69.
The China story was just getting told, HD hired L. Roulston, a few others. Pebble had all the hallmarks you wanted, it was a world class play.
AND IT NEVER MATTERED IT WOULD NEVER GO INTO PRODUCTION!
It was a discovery, a massively huge incrediably rich discovery. A promoters dream, and did it ever fly. Within a year I had a 10x and sold.
When I looked back and analyzed my moves I realized a couple of things.
1. Do your homework, do your own homework. Its ok to get stocks from others, its ok to listen. But in the end it's your money, you need to do the DD.
2. Don't be faked out. I bought in at .69, it seemed like I was the only one in the stock. I had done my DD, it all felt right, yet it seemed I was constantly under seige by negativity. Get it right, know it, stick tight.
3. You need to know yourself. You need to be brutally honest with yourself.
4. Do not make a decision based on emotions, they are always wrong. Wait a bit, let emotions fade, let logic take over.
