Would have liked to attend, but between work and family commitments it didn't work out.
As we saw from Endoftime's report - the value of the verbal info wasn't nessasarily high? Because we can't go back and review it, details in the story could be lost or minsinterpreted. Not at all questioning his intentions, but anyone writing down a conversation from earlier in the day is likely to get some of the smaller details wrong (not something as shocking as labor issues vs fog - but little things that could still be important)
I will take what is said on record (video, NR, email, website, conference call, etc.) over a verbal discussion any day. That is just for me personally, and really no offense to anyone who puts weight into a phone call or face to face...
Some people are cup half full, I am admittedly cup half empty and a skeptic. I am the type that reads the fine print looking for the catch and am not trusting by nature. My trust needs to be earned.
The video from the convention was detailed and informative - I like that. I wish the interviewer asked about SC too.
I also think Dogger's suggestion of a monthly online chat or conference call with management would be highly valuable - even if all questions are not answered.
