Timing has been cruel to us all along.
They aren't going to make a production decision when they won't even register the reserves until they've finished their optimization studies. They might not make a production decision until after the EA is approved, and it is not even applied for at this point.
I think the best we can hope for is an update on optimization and a good work plan for this year. We're expecting a bit of further drilling, I believe, so maybe an idea about how the rest of the year is going to roll out.
True but they may not production decision but the work plan can always include road works. If that's the case, it gives us some sort of hint that they are moving forward with SC.
I really question on why it is taking Teck so long to have this meeting. Originally, it was supposed to be in early December. So it's been almost 2 months (I'm including the short time off during Christmas) to just talk about business as usual on optimization studies?
I know Elmer was away for vacation during the first two weeks of January so they decided on the JV meeting this week, but Elmer was back on the 14th and was in Vancouver for Cambridge House on the 18/19.
I just find it strange that Teck is taking so long to just tell us that we are working on the optimization studies.
Lets hope we get more information than that. Who knows? maybe at this point, Teck has seen enough and they are willing to offer us a number and EE and Elmer will have to see if it's good enough for us? Now I'm dreaming..
