Excelsior's Gunnison project has a large and organized opposition to the mine. We do not have the same problem at VD, and in fact the locals are looking for jobs. Plus, if you remember, they have the historical right to mine having built the town after the mine rights were established.

Excelsior can't be used as a comparable really unless you can quantify the difference in the social costs. However, their cost per pound at 69 cents bodes well for the VD project results. That might be similar.
