Strictly speaking didn't Teck say they are not "in" discussions. That would leave open the possibility that they did have discussions in the past. That would make both reports correct.
Teck also said they are not involved in any 'transaction' with Antofagasta. That would also rule out that they are buying into our project...for those that still hold out hope.
I am still of the opinion, as I said on the 19th, that we rode up on the sudden bullish turn for copper. That pivoted right around when the Chinese economy was found to be contracting, and Europe too had poor numbers. Probably our stock rose quickly because we had just received two pieces of good news, i.e., the tax refund and the work plan for 2015.
I do think it shows what can happen when the economy actually does start to turn around.
