In quebec, there are 2 tax returns, 1 for CANADA and the other one for quebec. I have only lived in quebec for the last 14 years or so. In my previous province I made the same amount of money in both my previous province and CANADA. Now I make 3k or so more in quebec than CANADA. Go figure. They include taxable benefits as income. I used to have drug benefits paid. Now that I am +65, I have to pay $600 or so for quebec's drug plan. Why do I still live here? I live on the proper side of the Ottawa River. Do you think I would like separation? You bet.
