That bird was moving D6 cats by dropping the undercarriage and moving them in pieces. The "mine trucks" were 40ton rock truck split in half. I've seen the photos... Lots of them. There is equipment stranded on the galore road if all the tunnels were not complete as we understand. However I doubt it's of any use to shaft creek. ( or I'm pessimistic till proven wrong) I suspect it's on the wrong side of an unfinished tunnel. They would have driven out what the could get out. Mothballed the rest.
