Teck is doing optimization studies at both Galore and Schaft. Part of the studies, a huge part, is studying old historical, legacy holes. They see the same things CXM is, standards change, especially over 50 odd years and technology today is much more advanced, as are practices.
After a few confirmation holes the data can be used. Yes Eagleheads will be inferred but I'll take inferred right now and use it as a stepping stone and to help define a massive drill program next year.
Probably 75% of the legacy core will be usable, its all logged, stored on site etc, but its old, some is over 50 years old. As I said most is still usable, they relogged all the Bornite Zone legacy last year and will relog the rest this year.
As for whole lengths thats doable, always has been. For instance old dill holes with BX sized core are taken as whole lengths, sometimes the sample has to be longer than the norm today, you do what you have to do to get a reliable result. There is a procedure to follow, take pics, log details etc.
These historical holes will be changed out by confirmation holes and new drilling to upgrade the resource from inferred to M&I&I.
The legacy holes were 150 meters deep with mineralization from surface, Carmax has done holes to 400m and the new drilling will go to 600m.
