The mood is unfortunately not very good out here at all in the patch. Rumors of further layoffs are spreading again where I'm at Firebag (Suncor). This will be the first time since moving to Canada several years back where I'm concerned as to whether or not I will still have a job by the time the snow hits the ground later this year. Been spending my rotation days off doing renos on our basement in the event we will need to rent it out for income if the need arises. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
