There is an article in the Financial Post today talking with McEwen Mining's Rob McEwen. It is a gold stock that has been doing very well lately. Anyway, he is pointing out with the exchange rate gold is much higher than he believes investors are giving credit.

That got me thinking about the price of copper today in Canadian dollars.

Today copper spot price is $2.24 and that makes the price of copper in Canadian dollars $2.97!

If the US$ was that close to $3 we would be worth substantially more, and McEwen's point is that is how Canadian companies should be judged.
