My personal estimate was on the order of $ 500k cash, which is not bad pay for a few click strokes on the computer. Anything more then I'd say no to the NSR and stagger the payments. I don't see how the other party could generate more cash in any reasonable amount of time if they kept the property. I'm sure the MTO would accept a joint deal if presented before a decision. However, if any of the parties is stubborn like a prospectors mule, this could drag on in the courts for a long time. It comes down to who has the most leverage and if both parties are reasonable.
