Most likely purchased from one of the prospectors who CUU uses to stake claims back then.  The deal was to pay them xx plus 2% NSR but there is a clause where JV can purchase half of it back at anytime.

 

Only royalty at sc was royal gold.  Othere ones were thorugh staking.  Thats why it shows SC north.
