How long do these things go?  Is there generally relevant info that come out of these?  I would consider booking the day off work to go...but if its a waste of time probably not.  I was expecting the optimization studies...well, last year, but for sure this month.

Do they serve food and drink?  Seriously.  If the meeting is boring and worthless, Id at least like to enjoy a good meal and a brew.
