I hear what you are saying Golf, but why would Teck and their 75% elect to miss this upcoming cycle? Don't we (and by we I actually mean 75% they) meet all the priorities they desire in a copper project...long life, stable geo politic, multiple metal, low cost production...
Also, consider that once all the numbers are crunched and there is nothing left to do on the project, Elmer has told me at that point it would seem reasonable to expect (demand) a production decision from the JV.
Dont get me wrong, I've been through enough here to not overlook the possibility that the JV may need to do yet something else, which would cause more delays, but as a follower of Teck, I feel as though it is their best interest to develop shaft. I also take what they say about monetizing their future assets in 3-5 yrs (slide 20 may 16 pres) with some credibility - and shaft is one of those directly referred to.
