No the ex date is often the money leaving. One can now sell their shares and while still recieiving their cash. The stock generally drops the amount of the dividend. It dropped more actually and makes sense people are selling their shares they got for dividends after especially as it has been rallying. I also think the down day and it's continued bullish look is a part of it, but kinda seems like someone was just tossing their shares or something weird cause it is a lot.

Either way I am glad it looks like another green day on Teck for me.
