I think China at one time owned about 17% of Teck because of the coal exported for China steel production and the Teck copper output but not sure if they are still involved or not.

China is a very interesting place to visit. I spent quite a bit of time there over the years, mostly in Shanghai with over 50 visits and their imports like automobiles for example, don't really show much if anything at all from the US. I don't ever remember seeing a Chevy pickup or any kind of GM product and most of the stuff, I had never seen before.

I would imagine Trump is causing US producers like Boeing to have nervous breakdowns because in the end, he's taxing his own people to sell, not China....
