I doubt Teck will spin out any exploration interest. 

 

SC has enough resources for 40 years of mining.  Currently mine plan is only fo 20 years.

 

Plenty of time for them to do it themselves and structure similar deals like what they did with QB2.

 

Allowing the partner to participate in SC2, 3 etc.
