This was discussed years ago and I recall someone spoke to Elmer about it. His answer was that the geology was very different, with Schaft creek being amenable to producing concentrates which wasnt the case at Galore. So roads, power lines, etc. As MK mentioned might just be it for synergies. Happy to be corrected on this.
