Prior to the JV agreement, Copper Fox spent over 80 million dollars to turn this project into a TURN-KEY mine....all while TECK was involved and providing guidance to us while creating the FS document. They were consulting and going over all aspects of the various conponents. The waste- not waste issue was a joke and Teck was very much aware that material was revenue rock and made sure we didn't drill it before JV was created.
Maybe the whole grand master plan was to make Teck look like the super star partner and turn a 500 million npv duck into 3-4 billion cash cow swan. Makes Teck look like the smart ones.
