"Mr. President, the moment of truth is rapidly approaching for ourselves".
quote from the movie Dr. Stragelove.
I don't think there would be any dispute (even amound diehard longs ) that the moment of truth is rapidly approaching for CUU as to whether it is going to make it or break. Elmer needs to tell everyone at the AGM what Teck's decision is going to be. Nothing less than either a buyout or production decision will save CUU imho. No more delays, no more excuses, no more "we need to do more desktop studies" etc. will do it. After 5 years of optimization I think it is fair to say that Teck knows pretty much the real value of SC and what it is worth to them. So if they decide to put this on the back burner for another 5 years what is SC worth to a propective buyer? Hint begins with a the letter Z. I think Exploration Guy summed it up nicely from one of his post on June 24:
Teck has no obligation to buy us out and can choose their own price on a take or leave it basis. Why do you think our market value is so low? Our market cap is still below the value in the JV deal with nothing for the metal. The market doesn't believe Elmer can make a deal. He needs to do it this year with the benefit of the new numbers or else we'll trade at liquidation value. In the end you only get what you negotiate, not what necessarily exists on paper. Elmer has not sold any properties and we have no indication he is in a position to do it. Time for him to show his cards.
What is the liquidation value for CUU? My guess is below .10 and more likely between .05 to .07 cents a share. And judging by bigbuck's latest conversation with CUU its not looking too good IMHO. Place your bets accordingly gentlemen LOL.
