CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
As anyone who has been a shareholder in CUU knows the CEO ( Elmer Stewart ) of this company has been woefully short on delivery of results that matter to shareholders. I know as I have first hand experience with it in talking with Elmer. I was told directly by ES in 2011 that the FS would be out very soon ( it took another year to get done ). I was told we wouldn't believe the numbers ( the actual numbers from the FS were a big disappointment so yeah I guess we couldn't believe the numbers ). I was told that the credits from other metals would result in a negative cost to produce copper ( the actual numbers did not contribute to a negative cost or credit but was actuall far short so copper would cost over a $1 per pound to produce.) Has anyone notice that they took that article down on their website talking about negative credit cost to produce copper? I notice they happen to take it down just before release of the FS. Makes you go HMMMMMM doesn't it as if they didn't know until right before release of the FS.
After release of the FS we were told the otimization studies would vindicate their belief in the potential of Shaft Creek. So far after 5 years noda, nothing not even one peep - not even from Teck. We were told the 171 M tons of overburden mentioned in the FS did contained valuable mineral content that could have a positive effect on the NPV but that could not be included in the FS because it was not sufficiently drilled to put it in a higher classification of resource. So why didn't they drill it when doing the optimization? Notice we haven't heard anything more about it now.
So after 10 years of Elmer's Stewardship and carrot dangling in front of long suffering shareholders what has been the end result... you guessed it a declining sp... down down down to what it is today. One of the greats in the mining and exploration business ( I think it might of been Rick Rule or Eric Sprott I forget which ) once said " it takes two good things to make a junior exploration company a big success - a valuable property and a great management team who knows how to unlock that value". Cuu may have some great potential in their properties that remains to be seen but as far as great management goes - Fugget about it . Time for change of new leadership. AGM today folks so vote accordingly. Disclosure - I do not own shares in CUU but do like to see long time shareholders get rewarded ( despite views of others to the contrary LOL )
