Got home and just listened to the AGM and unfortunately I didn't hear anything that made me want to go out in a rush to buy CUU stock. No change in leadership, the status quo continues but I didn't expect much anyways. Yeah so it wasn't me buying those shares at the close guys lol. What's really infuriating though, and I feel it for existing shareholders, is the compensation package they gave themselves after. Kind of a slap in the face to shareholders.
Its clear to me who is really calling the shots here and that person owns the majority of shares. Elmer's explanation for why the accelerated warrents were cancelled makes absolutely no sense. So how did market conditions change in one day? They don't need the money now ? That is a slap in the face and an insult to the intelligence of all shareholders I think anyone here would agree . Furthermore its obvious that Teck is the one in charge here. They can hold up this optimization study as long as they want and unfortunately for shareholders of CF they may be waiting a long time for any resolution. An unfortunate consequence of the JV deal that Elmer signed. The op study is the key for a determination of SC value. Teck knows this as well as CF management. The question is who can outlast whom? Teck certaintly has more resources to outlast.
IMHO this is not just a procedural difference. This is a difference of key metrics that determines the value of SC. Will it be resolved by Xmas? If I were to bet on it my bet would be don't bet the farm or hold your breath. Be prepared for a long fight. Using a ROFO to force Tecks hand? Good luck with that. Teck knows that without the op study no buyer will touch SC as it is a key determinant of value. Elmer knows this all too well.
Take Teck to court for not acting in good faith? And how do we prove that? Teck can say they are but its taking time to iron out differences in key metrics being used or any number of plausible excuses like reorganization of key personnel or Covid 19 anyone? Court battles can be costly and also take time. Without a catalyst the sp will continue its drift down or sideways IMHO. The risk vs reward does not meet my criteria for a speculative investment so I will stand aside for now. My honest assessment. Good luck to all here. I would certainty like to here from Exploration guy for his take. Hope you are reading this EG.
