Anyone thinking SC will indirectly benefit from Biden's (soon to be) climate action policies and renewable energy policies?
Also anyone thinking SC will indirectly benefit from the Keystone pipeline project being cancelled?
Oil is a soon to be obsolete industry as civilization transitions into a clean energy environment! We are currently seeing this happen across the world with governments more aligned then ever on climate change. We want our planet to survive right? Copper will play a huge role in our energy transition.
Does Teck realize this? I believe so! Hence their recent corporate strategy of increasing their copper business unit. They wish to grow the copper business greatly.
So when will Teck sell their Fort Hills interest? Some think this year as Don potentially hints at it. This money from the oil sale should be allocated into Copper. Maybe SC will benefit.
I wonder what the 2021 work program at SC will be? Drilling? Permitting work? Etc? The new PEA should offer clues and a forward looking plan to get this asset into production as the commodities price boom only gives further urgency to speed up development.
