Good call IMHO. I also hold shares in both CUU and Teck. Bought Teck for ~$32/share back when I thought Schaft deal was gonna happen....which of course it didn't. Stock languished since then and I didn't sell...and when Covid landed last year I saw an opportunity (which I missed in 2009 when SP went to $4) to average down so piled on at $12 and have enjoyed the runup since. I am sure others here are smarter than I am and picked up more shares this time around for less than I. :)
Teck may pivot from oil to copper and if so it should have legs for a further run which I'm hoping for. I think MoneyK recently posted about the potential of the Satellite initiatives for copper alone. If Schaft and Galore were to get developed that would be siginificant I think as they are large long term deposits with lots of potential. Teck has a cozy relationship with the BC govt as well so I'm hoping it keeps running. Who knows, if they ink a deal with CUU then CUU may develop their pipeline for future Teck considerations (think EH).
