The fish story is a key piece which helped me make my initial investment in CUU 10 years ago. Short answer is that since the habitat is alpine there isnt really any fish community present in these naturally nutrient deficient systems. No fish equals way less to worry about in the vicinity of the immediate planned mine. Of course there is tailings management to consider and after Mt. Polley the rules have changed but this has been dealt with I believe in the optimizations. Having the Tahltan do the assessments and monitoring from day 1 was a brilliant stroke and what I would have done if I was Elmer as this heads off any concerns from the Tahltan. There should be sufficient baseline data for permit applications at this point.
