I have to say Sibui2's idea of averaging down does make sense if you continue to hold this stock.

 

I don't get people where they say they went "all in" and they're underwater and didn't bother to sell and claim the tax loss on it for 10 years.

 

I was in similar position and avg down knowing what's at stake.

 

For example, if you owned 100,000 shares at $1.50 per share.

 

$150,000 cost.  $1.50 cost.

Over 10 years span and say you invest $2600 per year ($217 per month) and average it around 13 cents.  Over 10 years, you invested $26,000 and took in 200,000 shares.

 

Your new cost is $176,000 and 300,000 shares.  Your new average would be 58 cents.  Would've broke even a few weeks ago.
